I have been doing under cover/ investigative journalism work since 2015. I came to it out of necessity not desire.
I identify first and foremost as an Engineer and a literal thinker with a problem solving twist. I overlay that first. Then I overlay my understanding of Commerce via an MBA education, 7 years corporate experience with multi-national corporations, and 25+ years as a self employed person trying to manage finances, accounting, IT, insurance, liability, risk and customer expectations in a dogged world. Then I overlay it all with an artistic streak and raw intuition. Dear friends I only came to formally later in life.
There are two classes of people that are problematic who are NOT being managed properly in the Western World at this time. Those are Predators and Parasites. There may be some overlap but they are definitely distinct archetypes. The predators are coming to light with many people now chasing the child predators, human traffickers, black mailers, etc. The Parasites, are a different story. People are identifying leads and small colonies when the actual size of their organized societies are gigantic compared to the ideas many have about them. Their size and organization even fooled me for a while.
My goal is to expose groups that have grown too large for the state and federal management systems to correct, and at this time there are a LOT of them. A LOT. Then, as a society tough decisions about (harsh) handling may be required.
I have been self funded for 10 years, but stress on my assets and income have forced a shift to asking for Donations to support my work.
With Donations, I feel I will be able to output volumes of information that i've accumulated that just keeps piling up due to an inabilty to keep up with it ll while worrying about money for rice and beans.
If the donations are sufficient enough to go beyond my needed, I'd hope to share some of that with other up and coming journalism talent that needs some type of basic income to allow them to flourish faster and bolder than my generation was able to do given the commercial environment we walked into.
Every Dollar Counts. $1, $5, $10 up to $100. I cap individual donations at $100 for now. If you want to donate more you can make multiple but do them on separate days. Allow the first to land and then if you wake and want to give more, do it.
